What Goes Around Comes Around<\/h2>\n

To Olympia in February in a Unipower GT for the first time since 1967. Good ol\u2019 number one was on display once again, this time at the London Classic Car Show courtesy of Waterloo Classics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

UPD exhibited two cars at the 1967 show, a red production car and their first competition chassis, painted white at the time. That car was later sold to Jan Odor of Janspeed fame and raced by various luminaries of the era. It was famously promoted at the show by Stirling, later Sir Stirling Moss assisted by the very lovely Monika Dietrich. By coincidence, some of her story and that of the 1967 exhibit is just published by Jeroen Booij on his excellent Maximum Mini blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We were lucky enough to be able to recreate the photo in 2017 when Sir Stirling inspected the first production car at the Goodwood Revival, the very car which was on display at Olympia in February.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At Olympia this year number one once again generated a lot of interest including from a couple of people who owned one in period. It was great to be able to chat to them to hear their anecdotes. The London Classic Car Show was the first event of a year in which several new venues and events are already pencilled in for the car.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in other news the ex-Peter Filby car beautifully restored by owners Bob Neville and Howard Davies is for sale through Duncan Hamilton<\/a>, It presents very well, has FIA papers and is ready to go on track or road.<\/p>\n
